The agreement will mean that Ladybridge Sports & Leisure will manage and use the facility and will host opportunities for children and young people to participate in small sided and full sided football and hockey.
Ladybridge High School, a Specialist Sports College, built the facility which is used by young people during the day, as part of their commitment to their Specialist School status.
Ladybridge Sports & Leisure Limited is a registered charity specialising in providing sport and leisure for young people, encouraging young people to make full use of the charities facilities and fostering sporting links with the local community.
L.S.L. are delighted to have the opportunity to work even closer with the school and the local community by increasing programmes and new initiatives to participate in both football and hockey.
L.S.L. has been awarded the Football Associations seal of approval with the Charter Standard Community Club Award this year and this partnership provides both organisations the chance to link up with local community groups to participate in sport and leisure.
John Baumber, Executive Principal of The Brook Learning Partnership said:
“We are really pleased to be working in partnership to provide the community with access to our facilities. Multi use games areas play a fundamental part in providing young people and the wider community with a wide range of recreational facilities that are local and easily accessible. We look forward to developing a positive and fruitful relationship with Ladybridge Sports & Leisure Limited. “
If you require further information or wish to book the facility, please contact Steven Hill, Ladybridge Sports & Leisure Limited on 07931 353 870.
CLJFL News
Item 1 - Sportsmanship and Referees awards - these have to be completed within your match book, if not you may be fined and asked to come before the league committee.
Item 2 - Ladybridge Under 15's - official that they have left the league, all outstanding issues and fines to be forwarded to Ladybridge Club Secretary.
Item 3 - Reversing fixtures if home pitch unplayable, this must be undertaken at the earliest oppurtunity, also the match referee should be made aware and the fixture secretary.
Item 4 - If a referee does not attend your fixture a club official can undertake this fixture, it cannot be a parent. Also that official can only do this once in a season. If an alternative qualified referee can be found they can be used, all details to fixture and referee's secretaries.
Item 5 - All managers try and submit via the website the match of the week.
Item 6 - Any kit change must be notified to the league.
Item 7 - Discipline, this was the major talking point by the committee and quite honestly it was disturbing to hear some of the incidents that have taken place already, even from under 11's level. when a Ladybridge official was asked to give a brief outline of an incident at an LFA cup match, no names given and the word alleged used. The committee were informed of our stance to racism and ASB, internal sanctions and how we promote diversity.
Can all mangers and coaches be reminded of their obligation in relation to players, parents, spectators and themselves. Ladybridge have an excellent record, let's try and keep this going.

FOOTBALL FOUNDATION APPROVAL
All our efforts with the Football Foundation over the last 12 months have been rewarded as the Project to improve drainage @ our Lostock base and completely refurbish the playing surface @ Ladybridge Lane has been approved.
Football Foundation signage will be provided at both grounds recognising the support given by the FF.
Press coverage will follow via the football foundation and they have notified our local MP and the LFA.
The Club will follow this up with a local press release as we did with the LHS facilities.
Our patience has paid off and discussions with a preferred contractor will now commence to agree a start date.
Please could you help us now by communicating this good news to all our members.
